With the grant from the Education Foundation, our Ghostlight Readers Theatre has been able to provide free admission for RLHS students & staff and inexpensive tickets to the general public to our four productions this year. Our productions have also been used to support curriculum in science, social studies, and world languages classes. 38 student performers and technicians have been directly impacted by the grant, as have the roughly 900 audience members who attended the various productions. At our performances we have already collected over $500 dollars in donations for a variety of non-profit organizations that support the causes aligned to our productions. Our final performance of the year, I Never Saw Another Butterfly, will be next Monday, April 9th at 7pm, at which will be collecting donations for the National Jewish Theatre Foundation to help support their mission of using theatre to deepen understandings of the Holocaust and honor its victims and survivors. I just wanted to take the time to express our appreciation for the support of the Education Foundation.

Thank you so much for once again supporting our 6th grade students as they have the opportunity to connect their education to the real world through a field trip to Chicago. We had such a positive experience last year and look forward to being able to share that with this year’s students. Again, our sincere gratitude goes out to the Round Lake Area Education Foundation Board.
